New mommies have a lot of things on their minds, and losing weight after giving birth is definitely one of them. Pretty much any pregnancy leaves its ugly marks on women’s bodies, and fatty tissues, swollen feet and hands or face and not-so-firm bodies are a small part of these marks, just to name a few. Women always pay attention to the way they look, so there is no wonder the main concern after giving birth is to find ways to lose weight fast and efficient.

And while there is no universally accepted method that can ensure all formerly-pregnant women they are going to look divine again in no time, there are quite a few tips and tricks ladies can try in order to regain their looks and lose the extra pounds.

Motherhood normally involves nursing or breastfeeding, and a lot of women believe that when this time comes, they need to eat for two. Well, this is not true. You don’t have to exaggerate and over eat just because you’ve chosen to breastfeed your baby. Just compare your dozens of pounds with your baby’s few pounds and do the math. Eat for one and a quarter instead, and you should be fine and your baby should be getting plenty of nutrients.

Now that you know you are not exactly entitled to eat for two, and you understand the importance of keeping a close eye on your diet, you need to start buying some cool workout DVDs and exercise every time you’ve got a spare moment. Choose those times of the day when your precious one is napping and do 5 to 10 minutes of workout two or three times a day, then go back to your chores. You are definitely going to feel a lot more toned, your metabolism is going to be boosted and you will burn more fatty tissue.

Make full use of those baby strollers and go for a walk in the park every time you get the chance. Walking is a great cardio that burns a lot of calories. You could join a special group such as Weight Watchers and make sure you find the support you need.

With a little patience, a balanced diet and some workouts, you should be able to lose weight after birth and enjoy your old body in no time.

One way of losing weight fast is to submit your body to some really hard sessions of hunger and food deprivation, plus extra workout, provided you can still run up and down the stairs with no food in your system.

This is what a lot of people do, thinking they hold the ultimate weight loss secret in hands. Well, this is completely wrong and has no scientific basis whatsoever. First of all, no one can truly believe that he or she can withstand 2 hours of intensive workout every day of the week while all daily meals consists of a single carrot. It’s just not physically possible; you might do it for a day or two the most, but then you’ll face physical conditions like fainting, rapid heartbeat, and that’s just the beginning. Secondly, this is the type of behavior that leads to serious health problems. Food deprivations simply tricks the body into thinking you are going to a period of hunger and therefore your smart body will start using those fatty reserves to help you survive. You know you won’t be able to not eat a thing for the rest of your life, so when you will eventually come back to your regular diet, your body will have a feast and start accumulating fat over and over again, being afraid you are going to experience hunger again. Therefore, all of your efforts will have been in vain, as you are very likely to regain all the weight that you managed to lose.

So if you’re really looking for quick ways to lose weight, you should start by finding yourself a decent diet by determining your daily calorie intake and reducing it gradually. Eat only fresh salads, fruits and vegetables and ignore potato salads and French fries, eat a lot more fiber and drink lots of fluids. Plan your meals ahead and don’t skip a healthy breakfast, just make sure you don’t chew your food really fast so that you can avoid overeating. The human brain needs about 20 minutes to be tricked into believing your belly is full, so consider this as well when having your dinner.

Plus, try to avoid all food temptations, go to the gym regularly and set real goals you feel you can achieve.
