Green tea to lose weight

Made from a plant known as camellia sinesis, it’s a type of tea valued for its medicinal properties. The leaves also have undergone a little oxidation. It first originated in china but has become common in America. Green tea is also widely referred to as Chinese tea or Japanese tea. Fresh camellia sinesis leaves are steamed in order to produce green tea.

Brewing
Put 2 grams of green tea with every 100ml of water. Brewing time depends on each tree quality. The temperature at which the tea is brewed also depends a lot on the individual tree. Basically trees with a lower quality, the temperature is increased so as the time. To avoid giving the tea an over cooked taste, the container is usually pre warmed. This also helps the tea not to immediately cool down. Green tea trees with high quality are usually steeped more than once. Steeping the trees for too long will give it a bitter taste.

This tea can be drunk after it’s brewed or from the teas extracts it can be taken in capsule form. Its also can be used to treat skin ailments by applying on the skin surface. The extracts from green tea e.g. EGCG have been used to treat some type of cancers. Patients ailing from skin and stomach cancers have been recommended to take green tea.
Green tea has been known to increase mental alertness for people who are obese and have been advised to take green tea to assist them in losing weight. Green tea extracts are applied on the skin to reduce the effects of the U.V sun rays. Green tea is also commonly used by people with high cholesterol levels. Science studies have proven that green tea reduces the multiplication of cancer cells in the human body. These studies have shown mixed results in different people. Scientists have proven that the reason green tea improves mental alertness is due to its caffeine content.

The side effects of green tea
When taken in reasonable quantities, green tea has been proven safe for most adults. Some people have been diagnosed with liver complications after taking concentrated amounts of green tea. This kind of complication is rare but conc. Green tea extracts are taken with meals. If complications still persists or liver complications develop, they should cease its intake. However, these complications are not in a way associated with green tea beverages and infusions. Such people who develop such complications exhibit stomach pains and yellowing of the white part in the eyes. Most will develop a dark color in their urine.

Due to its high caffeine content the green tea can cause lack of sleep and a lot of anxiousness. Some people are easily irritated and frequent the toilet to urinate a lot. Green tea can cause stomach upsets or running bowels in some people. Some anticoagulant drugs are rendered ineffective because green tea contains vitamin K in small quantities.

Unconfirmed reports
Studies have been conducted to establish whether green tea is able to cure Alzheimer’s and Parkinson diseases. These diseases affect the nerve system of the human body. Medical test done have proven to be inconclusive. There has been a wide rage of debates on whether the disease can treat multiple sclerosis.
